Follow me on:

hello, I am interested in becoming a foster parent. I am only 23 and I am also single, but I have a very strong love for children and would love to take one even if it's only temporarily. Here are my questions:
Even though I am 23 can I still become a foster parent?
Can I be a foster parent even though i am unmarried?
What do I need to do in order to become a foster parent?
Do I need to quit my current job as a nurse to become a foster parent and find a job that doesn't require me to be away from home for longer then 8 hours a day? I have experience with kids, I worked in a daycare for 4 years, and have been a popular babysitter for my town (literally) for the past 9 years.
Is there anything else i need to know?
    Thank you for your time.
My answers:
