Poem of the Week: I Dream of You

Written by Tom Fisher, "I Dream of You" is this week’s poem of focus. An adoptive parent of one from China, and currently waiting for daughter number two, Tom focuses much of his work on the plight of the birth mom who must choose to abandon her child. Here is my favorite stanza:

Please forgive me little one
There was no other choice
When you close your eyes at night
Your heartbeat is my voice.
