What do you think?

Tuesday November 29, 2005
When adopting domestically many children are able to receive adoption subsidies. Some believe that if a family is able to adopt than they should be able to take on all responsibility for the child, especially financially. Others believe that by adopting, the adoptive parents are taking on responsibility for issues that may require expensive treatments and therapy. Some families couldn't afford to adopt without the subsidy - this would leave many children without homes. What do you think?
Should adoptive families receive adoption subsidies?
1. Yes, but only in the case of special needs children.

2. Yes, adoptive parents are taking on another person's responsibility. They don't know what issues the child may have down the road.

3. No, all parents must be fully responsible for their children, including financially.
