A Child Called "It"

Resolve to learn more about the journey foster children travel this National Foster Care Month (May). Do this by reading Dave Pelzer's story. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, " A Child Called It" is at times difficult to read, but much more difficult to put down. This will give you the background needed before reading "The Lost Boy" which follows Dave through California's 1970's foster care system. I recommend that these two books be at the top of all foster parents’ "to do" lists this spring.
