Neat Idea for Foster Care Awareness Month

Monday April 10, 2006
National Foster Care Month will be here soon, so start planning a service project now. One great idea that can be found in a recent news article from Eastern Jackson County Missouri, "'Love bags' stuffed with care for area foster children". This article reports on how one elementary school stuffed bags with needed necessities for children entering foster care. Another idea is to ask for suitcases for foster children at your next birthday party instead of gifts. Then donate them to your local foster care agency so that foster children will have suitcases to use when moving from place to place instead of tossing their belongings into trash bags.
