My mother started many traditions that I continue with my family today. One of those traditions is buying a new ornament for each kid every year. My mom started this because when she got married she didn't have any ornaments, so she thought this way, her kids would have a good start on items for the tree.

I bought my kids cute penguin ornaments this year. Our zoo opened a penguin exhibit this past summer that they love.
