Mother's Day Is Coming!

Monday May 5, 2008

There are so many people who don't understand what it means to parent another's child. The comments that I receive run from, "you're such a saint" to "you're so crazy." I personally hate these types of comments. Most days I feel that I fall short of one of the above descriptors and fully live up to the other.

Those of us in the know that reality is somewhere in the middle. It takes a special person to mother someone else's child, but it also takes a bit of the crazies too. Moms in general are talented and deserve their special day, but there is something extra special in my opinion, about an adoptive mom.

Click "comments" below and share something special about your mom, whether she's your birth, adoptive, or foster mom. We would love to hear your comments.

Adoptive motherīs are the same than birth mothers except the are committed with the child from the beginning , they are loving, and have a huge heart. I know this sounds hard, so hard is also mothers who donīt want to give birth to a new child.
A mother willing to take care of a child by an adoptive relationship is totally committed to do it for the rest of her live to experience a gift that God reserves for her. Because of this, She become a very special kind of mother, something besides understanding. She doesn’t matter how, is accepting to take care and to love a child of her own even do that child was not born for her. It is something that proves what Love and Commitment can do when love is in the middle of a relationship!
As a Child adopted the is nothing more to say than THANK YOU MOM AND DAD for your endless love care and commitment because of that I became what I Am and because of you I have a loving family and a home that other way perhaps I was destiny for living in a street or taken for abortion.
I tank my birth mother Theresa, for give me LIFE and also gave me in adoption as the best option for me at the time she did it; Virginia and Felipe my parents for taken me as their son. I tank God for the Parents he chose for me every day, and every night. They Virginia and Felipe became blessed too, and they gave birth to Regina a natural born child three years after I was adopted, my sister.
