So – Do you think this child has a band aid over her mouth because she’s keeping secrets in or because keeping them in is healing to her? Denial.
You are right Carrie, that is heavy. Maybe the child keeps secrets as a means of self-protection, that or he/she has learned speaking out does no good.
Awe, you know I was a foster child and often had to keep my mouth shot. This is powerful!
Very powerful and so apt for Wordless Wednesday.
I took almost like someone was making her keep them…not her choice.
Advocating for these children is truly God’s work. God bless the people who help these children.
