Michael Jackson's Children Awarded to His Mother Katherine Jackson

Monday August 3, 2009

Today in a Los Angeles court room, Katherine Jackson, age 79, was awarded permanent guardianship of Michael Jackson's three children. Debbie Rowe, biological mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, was awarded visitation rights as well as continued spousal support as stipulated in the divorce settlement. Katherine Jackson is also to receive monthly financial support for the children, as well as a monthly stipend for the children.

I think the court did the right thing and looked at what was in the children's best interest. I'm especially glad that the siblings were kept together and now have visitation with Rowe. I hope she follows through with visitation.

Look back as the story of Michael Jackson's children unfolds in court.
