In honor of National Adoption Month, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation announced a donation of 150,000 USD to SOS Children's Villages USA. The SOS Villages focus on keeping children within their biological families, but when that is not possible, they utilize foster care. The American SOS Children's Villages are located in Illinois and Florida and were created in an effort to provide a different system beyond foster care that would help children avoid multiple placement and "aging out of the system." The donation provided by the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will help a family of four foster children in an SOS Children's Village within the US.
