Basic Requirements:
Foster parents must be 19 years or older.
Provide three favorable references.
Foster parents must be able to show they are in good health.
Each foster child must be provided with a bed.
Foster parents choosing to be licensed for four or more children must have their home visited by a fire inspector.
Foster parents wishing to care for seven or more children must have their home visited by a sanitarian from the Department of Regulation and Licensure.
