Birth and Adoption :
Born in 1972, and adopted from the US at the age of 3 months. She has grown up in the UK from the age of 8, with her English mother and Ghanaian father as well as spending time in Ghana where her adopted father is from.
Olympic Record:
2000 Olympic Games taking 11th place for the triple jump.
Fun Fact:
Ashia is a Ghanaian name and it means born on a Sunday.
What is she doing now?:
Due to a knee injury she will not be competing in the Olympics this 2004, season. She is recovering and is intending on being back next year.
