Requirements for Adopting:
Some of the requirements for completing an adoption in Montana include:
Can be single or married. If married, will need to be together for at least two years.
Do not have to own your own home.
Must have enough income to support your family.
Must have a completed adoption home study.
Must complete special foster parent / adoptive parent training.
Must pass a background check and be fingerprinted.
Must provide positive references of your character.
There are no fees associated with adopting from Montana.
Children Available for Adoption:
The children waiting for an adoptive home in Montana are in the foster care system. These children have experienced abuse and neglect. They also may have special needs. Their birth parent's parental rights have been severed by a judge and now the children are available for adoption.
