  • We shared grief with all involved when Anna Mae He prepared to move back to China with her biological family. 20/20 was there to share her story. The He family left the U.S. on February 9, 2008. Many readers have also been very passionate about Anna's story and shared many blog comments.

  • Juno was nominated for Best Picture and its young star, Ellen Page for Best Actress, yet won for Original Screenplay.

  • We learned that research conducted by the Adoption Institute found that adoptive parents needed more training and preparation before parenting an adopted child. The 19 page study also noted that those serving adoptive families needed more training.

  • We read of tragedy in Utah as another Russian adoptee was killed by his adoptive parents. We wondered if this was a case of children with serious medical issues or parents that needed more preparation and services.

  • A McDonald's commercial offended some when the McNuggets suggested that the French Fries were adopted and Peggy Hilt was interviewed on the WE network on their Women Behinds Bars series.
