Lea Michele plays Rachel on the show Glee that has many sub plots surrounding adoption. Rachel sings her way through most of her emotions, including those involving her own adoption and recent adoption reunion with her birth mother.

  • May brings us many days of celebration. It all began with the full month celebration of Foster Care Awareness Month.

  • Mother's Day and Birthmother's Day was celebrated by many.

  • Prospective adoptive parents of Russian children were relieved to hear that talks between Russia and the United States went well, but that there were many changes in store in the adoption agreement between the two countries.

  • We learned that "Duckie," pardon the Pretty in Pink reference Jon Cryer and wife Lisa, added to their family through adoption. Lisa, is an adoptee which heavily influenced the family to choose adoption adding Daisy Lee Cryer to the family.

  • The TV show Glee was not only extremely popular this year, but had a couple of sub plots that involved adoption. The character Rachel is an adoptee, adopted by two gay men. She was reunited with her mother on one of the episodes. Then another adoption story-line was brewing for most of the year as cheerleader, Quinn, was pregnant and planning on placing her baby for adoption, which she did. Guess who adopted her baby? Rachel's' birth mom, but as this writing, no one knows that. I love Glee.
