Birth and Adoption : Aaron was born June 6, 1977, in Columbus, Ohio. He was adopted as an infant by Al and Georgia Parchem. A few years ago Aaron made contact with his birth parents in Baltimore.
Olympic Record: Parchem competes in the figure skating pairs event with Marcy Hinzmann. Aaron is married to the team's chorographer, Zuzanna Szwed. Parchem had been first alternate for the Olympics in 2002 with a previous partner. Hinzmann and Perchem won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

  • Aaron is known for his sense of humor and enjoys making prank phone calls.
  • He has been involved with Friends of Minority Figure Skaters, Inc., a Cleveland-based non-profit organization, for about 10 years.
