Your adoption is final so now it's time to celebrate and get the word out! I have always enjoyed making my own announcements. I made my birth daughter's announcements so I wanted to do the same for my sons' adoption announcements. This is the adoption announcement I made, except I chose blue.
Begin by gathering materials needed to create your adoption announcement.
- Piece of of card stock approximately 3 1/2" x 5" in color of your choosing. It can be of any size, just remember to think about envelopes too. Be sure you can find an envelope that will accommodate your adoption announcement and one that isn't too small to be mailed. There are limits in the size of cards. I learned this the hard way.
- Poem printed on contrasting colored printer paper approximately 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
- Child(ren) information printed on white or contrasting paper sized to fit on the back of the main card.
- Ribbon of a coordinated color approximately 4" long.
