I like the Webster's II New Riverside Dictionary's definition for the word 'foster.'
"1. To bring up: nurture. 2. To cultivate and encourage. Giving or receiving parental care though not related through blood or legal ties."
There is a lot of 'nurturing and encouraging' that goes into fostering a child and his birth family. That is one reason I totally disagreed when some State's changed our title from 'foster parents' to 'resource parents.' In my opinion, they removed the love from foster care.
