Starting a Search With an Adoption Search Angel

By Carrie Craft, About.com

How to Request a Search :

After locating an adoption search angel representing your geographic search area, send an email, with the words "SEARCHING/About.com" in the subject line. Please include the following information in your email:
  • Your name and identity (whether adoptee, natural mother or father, grandmother,)
  • The date of birth of adoptee that is being sought.
  • State of birth of the adoptee.
  • Any known information of the individuals you are seeking. Even the smallest clue may be the key to finding your family member.
I wish you the best in your search!

Together we can find answers, with a little help from some Angels.

Disclaimer: I do not vouch for the people who volunteer here, so please proceed with caution and remember to read the rules for working with an adoption search angel.
