What to Do if an Adoption Search Angel Is Not Available
Look for Adoption Search Help in the Forum

By , About.com Guide

Sometimes I don't have the number of adoption search angels available to meet the need for those conducting an adoption search in hopes of reuniting with birth family. What should a person do if after looking at our adoption search angel listing, the needed search area is not covered by an adoption search angel? What should a person do if they don't know which state to even begin an adoption search? Here are a couple of suggestions:

  • Contact one of our nationwide adoption search angels and submit the needed information to begin an adoption search with one of the nationwide volunteers.
  • Post a request on the About.com Adoption & Foster Care forum under Search/Reunion or Search Angel Conversations forum folders. Many times our volunteers check the forum for search requests or one of the forum members may have search advice.

Disclaimer: I do not vouch for the people who volunteer here, so please proceed with caution and remember to read the rules for working with an adoption search angel.
