Starting a Search with an Adoption Search Angel

How to Request an Adoption Search

After locating an adoption search angel representing your geographic search area, send an email, with the words "SEARCHING/About.com" in the subject line. Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your name and what part of the adoption triad you hold in this search (whether adoptee, natural mother or father, grandmother,)

  • The date of birth of adoptee that is being sought.

  • State of birth of the adoptee.

  • Any known information of the individuals you are seeking. Even the smallest clue may be the key to finding your family member.

Disclaimer: I do not vouch for the people who volunteer here, so please proceed with caution and remember to read the rules for working with an adoption search angel.
