An Adoption Poem
Time Travel

From Miguel Lindgren, for About.com

Mother, the older I get and time passes between us,
It accelerates with little resistance.
I feel you around me, as if someone could hear us,
How is it I feel you closer across such a distance?

My child, ‘tis a paradox you need to unravel,
Perhaps thankful acceptance leads to time travel.
