Biography:
I was born in Taiwan and adopted when I was 9 months old. My parents were always open with me about my adoption and they were able to get in contact with my birthmother. We were reunited when I was 9 years old and she has been a part of my life ever since. I wrote this poem just
after I met her for the first time.
