There are many ways that you can not only stay up-to-date on what is going on here at About.com's Adoption & Foster Care site, but also participate! You can join in the discussion on one of the message boards. You can submit your own adoption story, poem or parenting tip. You can even submit pictures of your adoption journey or trip to an orphanage. Don't forget to sign up for our weekly newsletter, an e-course, and this site's RSS feed. Find out more about the options that interest you:

Visit an Adoption & Foster Care Message Board

Meet and chat with others on one of the Adoption & Foster Care message boards. You can find a member of the adoption or foster care triad - birth parent, adoptive parent, or adoptee, here. Need help with an adoption related question, find adoption how-to's or just someone willing to listen to your latest vent session. If you have a problem or question, there is sure to be someone who can lend you a hand.

You can drop by and browse as a guest, but to join in any of the discussions or start your own thread you must register; registering is free, quick and easy.

Subscribe to the Adoption & Foster Care Newsletter or Email Course

To get weekly updates sign up for the Adoption & Foster Care Newsletter. Currently, the Adoption & Foster Care newsletter is sent out on Wednesday morning. You can also sign up for one of my special e-courses, which are like specific 'classes' delivered to your email box at regular intervals. You will want to make sure you set your email box and spam filters to allow mail from me (adoption.guide@about.com) to get through. You can sign up for one or all of these options.

Become an Adoption Search Angel

An Adoption Search Angel volunteers their time and talents to help families touched by adoption. They seek answers for birth families, adoptees, or adoptive parents reaching out to birth parents. Learn more about Adoption Search Angles - maybe you need help from an angel or is there a little angel in you?

Submit Your Story or Poem to Adoption & Foster Care

My site is your site... Not only do I pride myself in giving my visitors what they want, but also in giving them a place where they can share their stories. Who better to understand an adoptee's point of view than an adoptee? Who better to learn about life in an open adoption from than an adoptive parent and a birth parent living it? Take a moment, use this simple form and share your unique story with everyone who visits the Adoption & Foster Care site.

Please know that all submissions will be reviewed and publication is based on several factors and at the discretion of the Adoption & Foster Care Guide.

Subscribe to the RSS feed

Rich Site Summary (or Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for content distribution. About.com offers an RSS and JavaScript feed with headlines, descriptions and links back to the Adoption & Foster Care site. This allows you to easily feature or check out the latest headlines from the Adoption & Foster Care site. The headline changes almost everyday so sign up for the RSS feed and don't miss a thing.

Make Adoption & Foster Care Your Home Page
